Would you be helped by receiving support and direction while you learn and practice decluttering skills? Get help for Packrats at the Buried in Treasure workshop.

A newly developed program to help those afflicted with hoarding behaviors is being offered in Albuquerque. The workshops will provide practical, effective, affordable help for adults burdened with hoarding behaviors. This 15 session facilitated self-help group provides support, learning, and effective, practical strategies for overcoming hoarding. The workshop is based on the book Buried in Treasures: Help for Compulsive Acquiring, Saving, and Hoarding by David Tolin, Randy O. Frost and Gail Steketee, leading experts on compulsive acquiring and saving
The group will meet for two hours on 15 Saturday mornings starting June 7th to learn about the disorder and to support each other in learning and practicing new behaviors. It provides a judgment free environment, direction, and mutual support for people ready to make a change in their lives.
The sessions will be facilitated by two certified professional organizers with training and experience helping those burdened with hoarding behaviors.
The program is based on tested procedures. All materials, including the book will be provided. The group will be limited to 10 participants to enable each one to experience support from the group. Designed to be affordable as well as effective, the fee for the entire 15-session program is only $160.00.
